Meghan McCain to former deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe: "Were you ever a leaker to the 'The New York Times'?"

'The View' co-host Meghan McCain made former FBI director Andrew McCabe uncomfortable during an interview Tuesday when she directly asked if he was a source for The New York Times. McCabe denied the allegations and attempted to explain his side of the story saying he was unsure as to why James Comey remembered their conversations differently.

WATCH: McCabe makes DRASTICALLY different comments about Rosenstein’s coup attempt than he did on 60 Minutes!

On The View today Andrew McCabe totally played off Rod Rosenstein’s comments back in 2017 about wearing a wire in the Oval Office and potentially invoking the 25th amendment to impeach Trump, as a ‘brief off-handed’ comment. He made it sound like Rosenstein wasn’t really serious about it.
But just two days ago on 60 Minutes McCabe has something very different to say.
Watch the difference. Skip ahead to the 5:30 minute mark if you’re in a hurry.

For those who need a transcript, here’s what McCabe said on The View this morning:
It never went beyond the realm of a brief, off-handed comment by the Deputy Attorney General to me. I'm not aware of any steps that were taken to execute this. I'm not aware of any meetings that were pulled together to discuss it. There was no further discussion that I'm aware of."
Versus what he said on 60 Minutes two days ago:
MCCABE: The Deputy Attorney General offered to wear a wire into the White House. He said I never get searched when I go into the White House. I could easily wear a recording device. They wouldn’t know it was there.
Now he was not joking. He was absolutely serious. And in fact he brought it up in next meeting we had."
60 MINUTES: Rosenstein was actually, openly talking about whether there was a majority of the cabinet who would vote to remove the president?
MCCABE: That's correct. Counting votes, or possible votes.
So on the one hand Rosenstein was ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS and brought it up multiple times. But on the other hand it was just a brief off-handed comment that he never brought up again.
What a stark difference. Good grief.
It seems pretty clear to me that someone got to McCabe after his 60 Minutes interview. And that somebody is likely named Rod Rosenstein.

  1. Democrats and the Obama admin colluded with Russians and used our law enforcement and intelligence agencies to interfere with our presidential elections. And then blamed President Trump for what they did. Then those same democrats and Obamadrone bureaucrats attempted a coup against a duly elected president. That is what happened. Lots of them will eventually be going to jail.

  2. Hillary lost even though Obama's swamp tried to protect her.....Trump won even though Obama's swamp tried to frame him
Obama's legacy has been erased from history as karma
    the Swamp is going down
Trump just keep winning....which means America wins.

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
