Three freshman Democratic slam President Trump

Three freshman Democratic congresswomen seemed to relish their "radical" reputations Thursday night during the premiere of a late-night comedy program.
U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota appeared together on Showtime’s “Desus & Mero” show, starring the comedy team Desus Nice and The Kid Mero.
During a segment taped at Ocasio-Cortez's office on Capitol Hill in Washington, the lawmakers shared their theories on why they have attracted so much media attention since taking office in January.
“I think we have a beef with almost everyone here," Omar said of her fellow members of Congress, "because there’s a lack of courage and it seems like we’re radical because we deeply care about the people we represent and we want to throw down for them."
"It seems like we’re radical because we deeply care about the people we represent and we want to throw down for them."
— U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.
“For once, we’re not just fighting over what is getting done but we’re fighting over how it’s getting done,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
Tlaib made headlines soon after taking office last month when she proclaimed she was going to “impeach the motherf---er,” in reference to President Trump.
“Rashida got into a little trouble for saying a boo-boo word,” Ocasio-Cortez grinned. “So I hit up Rashida, I sent her a text and was like, ‘Don’t worry about it. Like, who cares?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, I’m from Detroit. Like, back there that’s what we call ‘guy.’”
“That’s saying ‘that guy,’” Tlaib defended her remark.
Omar, who has repeatedly walked back anti-Semitic tweets, pointed out what she called a “double standard” that “that guy” President Trump never gets in trouble for “all the boo-boo words” he uses.
Ocasio-Cortez agreed. “Well, I think it’s one of those things where it’s, like, keeping it real with people is this frowned-upon thing and so we’re just doing it anyway because it’s too much work, it’s too much work to not do that,” the Democratic socialist said.

In the wake of Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court, liberal states now seem to be competing for who can pass the most radical abortion law in the country.
New York took it very far, legalizing abortion all the way to birth. But they included the caveat that these late-term abortion should have something to do with the health of the mother or baby.
Then came Vermont, which not only proposed legalizing abortion all the way to birth, but took away all the rights of the child in the womb, making abortion a fundamental right in the state. Their bill has passed one chamber and is headed to the other where it will likely be passed as well. The bill is supported by their REPUBLICAN Governor.
Now comes Illinois, who is following in the same evil footsteps of Vermont by taking away all the rights of the unborn child and making it a fundamental right of women to murder their unborn babies, all the way to birth:
CBN NEWS – Illinois is considering its most radical abortion bills yet. If passed, pro-life advocates say they could turn the state into the abortion haven of the Midwest.
The Reproductive Health Act (HB 2495 and SB 1942) enshrines abortion as a “fundamental right” and provides that a “fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent rights under the law.”
The bills would do the following:
  • Repeal a 1975 law that includes criminal penalties for doctors who perform abortions.
  • Legalize abortions up until the moment of birth.
  • Eliminate all restrictions on where abortions are performed.
  • Require all private health insurance policies to cover abortion (even churches and other religious organizations).
  • Eliminate any restrictions on where abortions can be performed.
The law also allows non-physicians to perform surgical and medical abortions. It repeals laws that allow husbands to block their wives from aborting their child, eliminates requirements to investigate fetal or maternal deaths resulting from abortion, and allows minors to receive abortions without ever having to notify their parents.
We told you the fight over Kavanaugh’s nomination was about abortion and we were exactly right.
Liberal states ar running scared in fear that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe vs. Wade, so they are enshrining abortion into their states as fundamental rights. It’s absolutely despicable.
And Illinois legislature is heavily Democratic, so they will have no problems passing this bill.
What I hope is that when this issue does finally end up before the Supreme Court, that they not just overturn Roe vs Wade, but they make abortion illegal in the entire country.
They made gay marriage legal in the entire country, so why not do the reverse with abortion?

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
