Todd Starnes speaks with Rep. Matt Gaetz about the emergency at the border and the Michael Cohen hearing
Matt Gaetz defended a tweet he sent Tuesday about Michael Cohen, suggesting that President Trump’s former attorney had been unfaithful to his wife.

Tweeting directly at Cohen, the Republican congressman wrote: “Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot...”
When asked about his tweet by reporters on Tuesday, Gaetz insisted that his remarks were not witness tampering, according to The Hill.
"We’re witness testing not witness tampering," Gaetz explained. "And when witnesses come before Congress their truthfulness and veracity are in question and we have the opportunity to test them."
Honestly, I can’t say whether this amounts to anything legally or not. But clearly he’s intending to intimidate Cohen and that’s so uncool. If the shoe were on the other foot we’d probably be screaming witness tampering.
Again, I don’t if that’s what this is legally speaking. But clearly it’s designed to shut Cohen up.

I just can’t believe he’d put something out there like this so publicly.

This should not be legal. Intimidating a witness before Congress should be against the law. https://t.co/uVBZR3NzXf— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) February 26, 2019
What's next, seating Frank Pantangeli's brother in the witness section? https://t.co/uBA8SABHC2— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) February 26, 2019
I’ve never seen the Godfather, so I had to look that one up. For those of you like me, Wikipedia says “Frank “Frankie Five Angels” Pentangeli is a fictional character from the film The Godfather Part II”.
I think that pretty much some all of this up.
