Cory Booker and Eric Holder say Bill Barr wrong on Mueller
It’s bad when a political hack like Eric Holder sounds more reasonable than most Democrats when it comes to responding to the Mueller report announcement from this weekend.
In an exclusive interview with MSNBC anchor Ari Melber, Former Attorney General Eric Holder makes news by saying Trump Attorney General Bill Barr is handling the Mueller report in the “wrong” way, which is troubling and departs from clear precedent. Pressed by Melber, Holder adds that Congress must get the Mueller Report and decide any obstruction case against Pres. Trump – not his handpicked A.G. Holder adds that this is the beginning or “middle” of the process, not the end.
Senator and 2020 Presidential Candidate, Senator Cory Booker joins Ari Melber for a wide-ranging interview on the Mueller probe, Attorney General Bill Barr’s summary of it and why he believes the war on drugs has been a “war on American people”. Booker reveals that he is “not willing to conclude anything” based on Barr’s summary of the Mueller probe, including anything about Trump and potential collusion with Russia, because he is “deeply troubled” by Barr himself.

Did you catch how the MSNBC host phrased the question? “Do you have to revise that now to say not chargeable collusion?” Er…what in the heck is ‘non-chargeable collusion’?
Anyway, he basically gave Booker an out by phrasing it that weird way and Booker still wouldn’t take it. Instead Booker attacked the AG, accusing him of putting politics over justice.
I do like how the MSNBC host pushed back on Booker, making clear that regardless of what he things about the AG, Mueller is done and isn’t bringing any more charges against anyway.
But Booker just pretends like Mueller is falling on his sword or something, saying he’s a soldier who knows he can’t indict a sitting president.
What a joke.
