United States Border Patrol really IS at a breaking point!

Media ignores surge in migrant apprehensions at the southern border; Fox News media analyst Howie Kurtz and former DHS special agent Tim Ballard weigh in.

Watch:
Well it turns out that’s not true at all. It might surprise you, but this counter report comes from the NY Times today:
For the fourth time in five months, the number of migrant families crossing the southwest border has broken records, border enforcement authorities said Tuesday, warning that government facilities are full and agents are overwhelmed.
More than 76,000 migrants crossed the border without authorization in February, more than double the levels from the same period last year and approaching the largest numbers seen in any February in the last 12 years.
“The system is well beyond capacity, and remains at the breaking point,” Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, told reporters in announcing the new data.
This jibes with what the border patrol chief told Congress one week ago:
Here’s more from the Border Patrol as of today:

So yes, it’s really bad and Trump has been right all along about this being a crisis. But don’t hold your breath for the media to run with this NY Times report or this other data from the Border Patrol. They only seem to care when the facts fit their anti-Trump narrative and in this case, they most certainly don’t.

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
