BREAKING: AG Bill Barr will not testify tomorrow in front of House Judiciary Committee

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) tells Chuck Todd, “After his performance today, I’m not surprised [Barr] doesn’t want to repeat it again tomorrow,” and calls Barr testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee today, a “pretty sorry performance.”

The Attorney General has now informed the House Judiciary Committee that he will NOT be in attendance for tomorrow’s scheduled hearing:

Um, it’s not a hang up. These aren’t the Kavanaugh hearings where an accuser needs to be deposed by counsel.
There’s absolutely no reason for Barr to be questioned by the committee’s legal counsel because he’s not on trial here.
That was just a pathetic move by Nadler and shows crazed Democrats have become over the fact that Mueller’s report vindicated Trump.
I’m glad he’s not showing and a subpoena isn’t going to get him there either.
Nadler confirms:

Not optional? Yeah tell that to Eric Holder.
Ranking member Doug Collins has it right:

NBC Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade join Andrea Mitchell to discuss key challenges facing the January 6 Committee ahead of their primetime hearings this week: getting a "distracted nation" to pay attention and understand what's at stake. “I think the biggest challenge for lawmakers here, as they talk about these sort of huge ideas of American democracy and sort of the experiment that we're all living in, benefiting from, possibly being brought to his knees, is whether or not they can make people care,” says Alcindor. “The American public has been groomed to expect high value quick entertainment,” says McQuade. "I think putting together a polished show can be very important."
