CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten said Tuesday that Biden was doing "worse than Jimmy Carter" on inflation and that American people were holding him responsible.
Enten starts by pointing out that in Biden’s America, consumer sentiment is the worst it has ever been since the University of Michigan began measuring it in 1952. He adds that the reason for people feeling this way is obvious, because the consumer price index is the worst it’s been since 1974.
When asked how Biden’s performance rates, Enten said “AWFUL!”, noting that Biden is actually doing worse than Jimmy Carter at the same time in his presidency with a 71% disapproval rating on inflation versus Carter with only a 66% disapproval rating.
Enten ends with this: “When you’re doing worse than Jimmy Carter’s doing in the minds of Americans on inflation, you know that they’re holding you responsible for the conditions that are currently on the ground that are hurting Americans in their pocket books.”
